The sheer level of HATE is actually quite amusing. Someday we should do another Colab, Rise of the Cleave'd Land, just to further inflame their stretched-out anuses.

Sorta like this.

If you are such a person ... start running, it'll take me a while to unbolt my claymore from the wall-mountings.

And I'm gonna bet all my money that the people who are crying and hating about Cleveland are the people who only read a few stories then decided they didn't care.

Interestingly, 4chan seems to be exactly the opposite, in a very good way.

After someone (who's been writing a very good story whose genre is difficult to classify... um, I'd call it "bipolar hugbox" ... about a ridiculously wealthy guy with an alicorn fluffy) wrote a chapter that sent his characters to Spaghetti Land, a lot of people have been commenting how much potential there is for stories...

I have to wonder how many of them even realize that Spaghetti Land was a thing that happened before.

It's kinda cool being part of something that's apparently spreading to become universally known in the fluffy headcanon, even if people didn't read the actual stories.

Well, that was the goal, after all. So mission accomplished there.

Someone drew fanart of the alicorn in Spaghetti Land on the rides, and it included that one unicorn from the Marigold stories that was freaking out on all the rides. It filled me with glee to see such an obscure throwback.

I am happy to know that when I post my retirement piece, it will be a **** you to everyone.

I think the reaction to the collab justifies my participation: nobody likes my stories, but everyone loves my ideas.

As I drove into work, I had a moment of clarity on this whole Post 5088  thing.

How do you measure a dream?

There are many ways to answer this, but I have one suggestion: you can measure a dream, and how well one lives up to it, by comparing the success of an individual in an endevor to that individual's role models.  If one man looks up to another and wants to be like that man, then he has succeeded when he has achieved what that man has achieved.

I had a much-enjoyed story about a fallen hero villain, for which I created a pre-existing world, complete with drawing out a hinted-at war and the telling of how the hero fell by losing the love of his life.  Through the telling of this story, I have taken several well-known and much-loved artists and helped them become even greater than before.

And maybe I am a better storyteller than a writer.  And maybe I created a world, but my own contributions were not as artistically excellent as others'.    And maybe the hero's fall was a little to contrived.  And maybe there was anoying accident-prone characters with speach impediments.  But you know what?

I'm okay with this.

(Does this make Anubis Steven Spielberg?  Does this make Marcus John Williams?  Does this make Coalheart Ben Burtt?  Does this make Neckbeard Alec Guiness?  Does this make Tabula Carrie Fisher?  Does this make Mayclore Mark Hamill?  Does this make Vanner Harrison Ford?  Does this mean that Vanner is going to call me at 3 AM pretending to be Mayclore?)
Everything is made to be broken.

Does that mean you have to pay me a percentage on any profit you make on Cleveland?

Does this mean I am going to create another fluffy collaborative blockbuster, that you're going to control completely, which will in the end be just one big vehicle for Vanner?  Does that in turn mean we'll get a picture of Megan in a mostly-open safari-style shirt, brandishing a whip?

Hey Marcus, if I fax you money, is it still legal tender? Or do I have to pay you in hockey sticks and government healthcare?

Also, if you're still interested, whenever you get around to it, a slave Leia Megan would be just about the best thing ever. Purely for scientific reasons, of course.
